I’ve just returned from my three week holiday and I’m happy to report that the post-holiday blues have yet to sink-in. If you ask me on Monday though, I may be singing another tune. But right now, I’m happy, comfortable and grateful to be in my home. I’m also a bit lazy after a big trip, a Stepember challenge and doing loads of laundry. Soooo, I will be resting from writing and posting a quick, random series of haikus re: aforementioned trip.

Farewell, Work [when your boss wants you to do your legally contracted/paid hours]
Voices drone, tick tock
What! Stay to five? Fine, sigh.
Clean, Pack, Uber go.
Motion sickness v1 [Mode of transport 1]
Swaying ocean, boat
Filipino feast, oh no
Docked, mounds of rice, empty me
I Say Quiet in the Group [Adjusting to new group travel dynamics]
Chat, Chat, Too Much Chat
Don’t schedule breakfast with me
Solo time, ear buds
Motherland v1 [Another great trip to KR with some first time visitors - e.g. Win]
Anyoung mother, sam
Stalker and her lover, hi
Welcome to Korea
Loud friends on Trains [Embarrassingly loud friends who get you in trouble]
Shush you, foreigner
With your loud diaphragm, said
Not one but two mouths
Motherland v2 [Day trip with friends - this one's pretty lazy]
We train to Jeonju
Matching hanboks, Persimmon
Bing su, my sweat rags
That’s it for today, ya’ll! Thanks for entertaining this silliness ;).
Kind regards,
Clara
I enjoyed this series of fun haiku!
That dessert looks so good. I hope it more than made up for being told off on the train!
